District 88 recognizes community leaders, first responders and veterans during crosstown football game

On Oct. 24, the Addison Trail and Willowbrook football teams faced off on the gridiron during District 88’s annual crosstown game.

And in the crowd were some special guests. The district invited local community leaders, first responders and veterans to attend the game to be recognized and thanked for their service and support of District 88. About 15 community leaders from Addison and Villa Park – including mayors, police chiefs, fire chiefs, superintendents, board of education members, service group members and the DuPage County Office of Homeland Security Director – were represented.

The district also honored first responders and veterans, including members of the DeVry Military Resource Club, with a presentation of the flags and Color Guard. The Addison Trail football players, cheerleaders, Blazettes and Orchesis Team members formed an aisle as those being honored left the field.
