District 88 recognizes Stir Crazy as a Business Partner

District 88 regularly recognizes businesses and organizations that partner with the district for their support in building futures for students and helping to accomplish the district’s mission and vision.

Those groups are honored as Business Partners during a District 88 Board of Education meeting. On April 14, the District 88 Board of Education recognized Stir Crazy in Oak Brook as a Business Partner. During that meeting, District 88 Superintendent Dr. Scott Helton and District 88 Board President Donna Craft Cain thanked Stir Crazy for their support of District 88.

The District 88 Board of Education and administration created the 88’s Best award to highlight students’ success and make sure students are honored for their accomplishments. That award recognizes nine Addison Trail and nine Willowbrook students each school year for reaching their personal best in various areas. Students are honored each month during a District 88 Board of Education meeting in the areas of academics, highly improved performance, extracurricular activities, service work and performing arts/electives.

The mission of District 88 is to work for the continuous improvement of student achievement, and Stir Crazy in Oak Brook has enabled the district to accomplish that mission through supporting the 88’s Best award. Each month, 88’s Best recipients receive a gift certificate donated by Stir Crazy to celebrate their success. Through that generosity, Abel Marquez, assistant manager in charge of awards at Stir Crazy, and the rest of the Stir Crazy staff truly embody what it means to be a Business Partner.
