Addison Trail to present Orchesis Show

On April 25 and 26, the Addison Trail Orchesis team will take the stage for the annual Orchesis Show. The theme of this year’s show is “Behind Your Mask.”

“The team is filled with girls who have a passion for dance and really care about the group,” said senior Elaine Diamond. “With that combination, there’s no way the show won’t be great.”

During the show, audience members will enjoy 24 different dances, including a 1920s-inspired opening number and a finale that’s a tribute to a pop icon. And male dancers will join the team on stage for one piece. Junior Brianna Sitkowski said the team chose well-known songs to ensure the crowd will enjoy the performance.

Seniors Mallory Mandarino and Tyler Skupien, Orchesis Co-Presidents, said what makes this year’s show unique is the effort and attention to detail from the crew – including lighting and props – as well as the variety of dances that will be performed.

“I listen to music and try to find songs that inspire me and that will connect with the audience,” said junior Brittany McComb. “I also look for music my teammates will enjoy performing to.”
