Willowbrook Flag Football Team names District 88 Superintendent as honorary team captain

On Sept. 23, Willowbrook’s new Flag Football Team named District 88 Superintendent Dr. Jean Barbanente as an honorary team captain.

Dr. Barbanente was recognized during halftime of the game against Oak Park and River Forest High School and was presented with a flag football T-shirt.

She was honored for her commitment to supporting and fostering an inclusive environment and a sense of belonging at District 88 to ensure all students, staff, parents/guardians and community members feel safe, valued, respected and welcome – regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or ability level.
