For more information, go to https://ihsea.org. According to Wikipedia, "Esports is a form of sport competition using video games. Esports often takes the form of organized, multiplayer video game competitions, particularly between professional players, individually or as teams.”

On Nov. 9, Addison Trail and Willowbrook staff and administrators attended the West Suburban Conference Esports Super Smash Bros. Tournament at Lyons Township High School. Four Willowbrook students (pictured above, from left to right: sophomore Lauren Maher, freshman Will Greco, freshman John Brisbois and freshman Nicholas Van Dyke) participated in the competition.

District 88 is focused on connecting with all students to foster an inclusive environment and a sense of belonging to support each child on his or her journey to success. As part of that initiative, the district is looking to implement esports as an extracurricular opportunity for students. More information will be shared as plans are finalized.
