Addison Trail hosts Homecoming festivities
On Sept. 16, Addison Trail Theatre hosted a Variety Show as part of the school’s Homecoming festivities. Students took the stage to showcase their talents.
Performances included:
- 2013 Orchesis performing “How to be a Heartbreaker” by Marina and the Diamonds
- Dakota Rosch and Juan Perez performing “Beautiful Goodbye” by Maroon 5
- Georgya Borova, Cinthia Rodriguez and Daniela Soriano performing “Nobody’s Perfect” by Jesse J
- Julia Rowley, accompanied by Addison Trail music teacher Jeff Nellessen, singing “Maybe This Time” from “Cabaret”
- LaToya Walls performing “Rehab” by Rihanna
- Janina Gatilao performing “Valerie” by Amy Winehouse
- Destenye Davis performing “Thinking About You” by Frank Ocean
- The Quad Squad dancing to a modern mix
- Hector Sanchez Rios solving the Rubik’s Cube
- Daniella Gonzalez and Janina Gatilao performing “You Found Me” by The Fray
- Francesco Bondi, Patty Delmedico and Rebecca Diaz performing “Heartless” by Kanya West
- Kala Keller performing “Daryl Is A Boy (And He Lives In My Closet)” by Michael Mitnick
- Morgan Pirtle, Jeff Maginity and Larry Nuehring performing “2014” by Pirtle
The Homecoming football games took place Sept. 20.
On Sept. 21, Addison Trail celebrated Homecoming with a dance. About 1,200 students attended the dance, which showcased the Homecoming theme of Welcome to the Jungle. To see a list of the members of the 2013 Homecoming court, go to http://tinyurl.com/khc2cwp.
And on Sept. 25, the girls faced off on the field during a powder-puff game. The sophomores won the freshmen vs. sophomore powder-puff soccer game 6-3, and the juniors won the junior vs. senior powder-puff football game 28-14. After the game, students enjoyed a bonfire and music to celebrate Homecoming.
