Addison Trail student earns NROTC Scholarship, science teacher receives Impact Influencer Award

On May 20, Addison Trail student Andrea Simko (class of 2021) received a Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) Scholarship during a ceremony at the school.

Simko was awarded a $180,000 full-ride scholarship to Gamecock Battalion at University of South Carolina. She will attend the university for four years and will then serve in the United States Navy for five years. She plans to study engineering.

Simko also nominated Addison Trail science teacher Carolyn Erwin for the Impact Influencer Award to recognize the leadership, mentorship and guidance Erwin has provided.
