Willowbrook hosts annual Senior Athletic Celebration

On May 24, the Willowbrook Athletic Booster Club hosted its annual Senior Athletic Celebration at the school.

During the event, 2020-21 highlights and successes of each athletic team were shared, and student-athletes from the class of 2021 were recognized for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom.

Award winners and scholarship recipients also were named, and those students are:

• Athletic Booster Club Outstanding Male Athlete: Tyler King
• Athletic Booster Club Outstanding Female Athlete: Grace Tumilty
• Helen Carpenter Most Valuable Female Athlete: Daylee Braden
• John A. Fischer Most Valuable Male Athlete: Enrique Cruz Jr.
• Athletic Booster Club Scholarship: Mohammad Ayesh, Elijah Brockie, Grace Tumilty and Stephanie Dasbach
• Lauren M. Kiefer Memorial Scholarship: Allison Smith and Hayden Kingsbury
• Susan Jurkonis Scholarship: Mohammad Ayesh, Nicholas Leo, Andrew Rugg, Kaitlyn Abbott, Alejandra Lopez Sahagun and Peyton Mitrick
• John Hamann Scholarship: Tyler King and Grace Tumilty
• Taylor Family Scholarship: Gwenavere Halik
• Complete Athlete Award (by Destination Athlete): Jack Walsh
