Addison Trail hosts SkillsUSA National Signing Day

On May 4, Addison Trail participated in the SkillsUSA National Signing Day. That event celebrates high school seniors and college/postsecondary students who have chosen to pursue a career in any of the skilled trades. The goal is to help close the skills gap and raise awareness of options available in the skilled trades.

Five Addison Trail seniors were recognized as they signed letters of intent, in a style similar to National Signing Day events for student-athletes. They were celebrated among school administrators, teachers, SkillsUSA advisers, family members and friends (following policies and procedures in place regarding social distancing and other health/safety measures). Below are the students who were recognized, along with their postsecondary plans.

  • Konrad Nowak: College of DuPage (Fire Science)
  • Wai Wha Dam: Maserati / College of DuPage (Automotive Service Technology program)
  • Ivan Jaimes: SWD Inc.
  • Javier Castillo: College of DuPage (Automotive Service Technology program)
  • Sebastian Ruiz: Lincoln Tech (Automotive Technology Training)
