District 88 continues to provide in-person athletic and extracurricular activities

We are thrilled to be able to provide students with opportunities to participate in athletic and extracurricular activities, despite the challenges of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

We know the benefits and importance of keeping students connected through social settings, and we have continued to implement in-person athletic and extracurricular activities, following health and safety guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, the Illinois and DuPage County health departments, the Illinois State Board of Education and the DuPage Regional Office of Education.

Spectator capacity limits
Gov. Pritzker recently implemented updated spectator capacity limits for Phase 4 (our current status), as well as the Bridge to Phase 5 (when we’re able to transition to that phase). Based on these updates, Addison Trail and Willowbrook have implemented the following:

  • Spectators from visiting schools are not permitted to attend District 88 games/events at this time.

  • District 88 spectators who plan to attend games/events at Addison Trail and Willowbrook must register ahead of time and check in.

  • To enter/attend Addison Trail and Willowbrook games/events, spectators must not have any COVID-19 symptoms.
