Willowbrook alumna shares opinion piece about COVID-19 pandemic in ‘Chicago Tribune’

Willowbrook alumna Annie Ross (pictured above), class of 2019, recently wrote a column for the “Chicago Tribune.” Her commentary, entitled “I’m part of Gen Z. This is why young people are disregarding COVID-19 precautions,” was published on July 31.

“It is no secret that Generation Z – roughly, anyone 23 or younger – Is not taking social distancing as seriously as it should be,” Ross said in her piece. “Seeing others post that group party photo does not trick us into thinking that the virus is not something to worry about; rather, it creates pressure to keep up with the social competition that outweighs, in the minds of my generation, the risks of contracting the virus.”
