Willowbrook hosts Pack the Place event for Special Olympics Basketball Team

On Jan. 13, Willowbrook hosted a Pack the Place event for the Special Olympics Basketball Team.

About 250 people attended to cheer on the Warriors as they competed against Northeast DuPage Special Recreation Association (NEDSRA). Although the team didn’t win, the event was a success. The Blue Crew also hosted a “Black Out,” and the bleachers were filled with black/Willowbrook spirit wear to support the Warriors!

The evening was Senior Night as well, and Trey Nastali and Angel Vazquez were honored. Other student-athletes on the team are Angeles Reza, Jonathan Ramos, Jonathan Leal, Dania Salamah, Alejandro Merida, Syeda Qadri, Andrew Brown, Bernardo Gomez, Brian May and Kellie Albarran.

The Warriors wrapped up their season on Jan. 14 with a game against Oak Park and River Forest High School, and they look forward to next year.
