Willowbrook seniors Jackson Hathaway and Victoria Palma have been named as Honorable Mentions to the 2018-19 DuPage County Daily Herald Academic Team.

The Academic Team recognizes high school seniors who have excelled in their studies throughout high school, but who also exemplify the “whole” student. Hathaway and Palma were nominated by Willowbrook for their outstanding academic record, school service and dedication to learning and putting what they’ve learned into use. A panel of judges selected the Academic Team and Honorable Mentions from high schools throughout DuPage County. This year, 150 total nominations were submitted, 48 of them from public and private DuPage County high schools.

Hathaway and Palma will be showcased in a special edition of the Daily Herald’s Neighbor section on May 30, along with the entire team. That section will feature profiles of the team members, as well as the Honorable Mention students.
