Artwork created by six Willowbrook students was recently showcased in the Illinois High School Art Exhibition (IHSAE) in Chicago.

Pieces by seniors Danielle Lee, Jenna Krenzel, Kashf Fatima, Sydney Wilson and Ditza Montesinos and sophomore Samantha Williams were displayed at Zhou B Art Center, and Lee received state-level Gold recognition in the ceramics category. The five seniors listed above submitted portfolios of work as well, and they each had a highlight piece selected to be displayed at Bridgeport Art Center. They also received $915,852 in scholarship offers from numerous art schools.

On Feb. 27, 26 Willowbrook art students enrolled in Drawing and Painting and Advanced Placement (AP)/college-level Studio Art took a field trip to Chicago to view the exhibit. They also visited the National Museum of Mexican Art and the National Veterans Art Museum.
