Willowbrook hosts State send-off celebration for four students who will compete in Special Olympics Illinois Summer Games

On May 23, Willowbrook hosted a State send-off celebration for four students who will compete in the Special Olympics Illinois Summer Games.

That event will take place from June 15 to 17 in Bloomington and Normal. The Willowbrook students who will compete are:

• Jonathan Leal: 50-meter run
• Joseph Bertuca: Softball throw
• Isabella Iasillo: Softball throw
• Maria Gonzalez: 100-meter run and 200-meter run
