Willowbrook alumna speaks with students about her career with U.S. Department of State

Willowbrook alumna Tracy Musacchio (class of 1995) speaks with Willowbrook students on April 11. Musacchio is a Foreign Service Officer for the U.S. Department of State and visited her alma mater as part of the department's Hometown Diplomats program. She presented about her experiences with the department, as well as available career opportunities.

On April 11, Willowbrook alumna Tracy Musacchio (class of 1995) spoke with students in 17 Human Geography classes at Willowbrook.

Musacchio works as a Foreign Service Officer for the U.S. Department of State. She visited Willowbrook through the department's Hometown Diplomats program, which encourages employees to connect with organizations in their hometown and give presentations to those groups. Musacchio shared information about the U.S. Department of State and discussed what her job entails, as well as other available career opportunities. Through her position, Musacchio has worked in the Philippines and Brazil, and she said she’s looking forward to her next assignment in Angola.

Before joining the department, Musacchio was an Egyptologist who taught at Knox College and John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She studied at Brown University and University of Pennsylvania and conducted archaeological fieldwork in Egypt.
