Eight Willowbrook students qualify for 2018 BPA National Leadership Conference

Eight Willowbrook students have qualified to compete at the 2018 Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference.

That event will take place from May 9 to 13 in Texas, and this year’s theme is “Dream Bigger.” Students who will compete are:

  • Senior Sheharyar Ahmed: C++ Programming (placed 5th at State)
  • Senior Taha Akhtar: Database Applications (placed 2nd at State) and C++ Programming (placed 3rd at State)
  • Senior Catherine Carey: Fundamental Desktop Publishing (placed 2nd at State) and Digital Publishing (placed 3rd at State)
  • Sophomore Jack Carey: ICD-10 Diagnostic Coding (placed 3rd at State)
  • Senior Nicholas Johnson: Systems Administration Using Cisco® (placed 5th at State) and Java Programming (State Champion)
  • Junior Tomas Pelesinas: Digital Publishing (placed 4th at State)
  • Senior Ethan Rojek: Visual Basic/C# Programming (placed 3rd at State)
  • Senior Ammar Waheed: SQL Database Fundamentals (placed 5th at State)
