Three Addison Trail students receive West Suburban Conference GRIT Award

On Feb. 1, the West Suburban Conference Activities Directors and Principals hosted the second annual GRIT Award event at Main Event Entertainment in Warrenville. That program recognizes students in the conference who have made positive changes in their life for their dedication to improving their choices to help them be successful in school and beyond.

Recipients were given a certificate and also were able to invite a staff member who has helped them make better decisions. The three Addison Trail students below received the GRIT Award.

  • Junior Luis Acevedo (invited teacher and Head Football Coach Paul Parpet Jr.)
  • Sophomore Daniel Garcia (invited Jessica Riopell, Behavior Interventionist for the school's ACHIEVE program)
