Willowbrook celebrates Student Art Show and release party for literary magazine, ‘Mindprints’

From May 8 to 12, the artistic talents of Willowbrook students were on display during the school’s annual Student Art Show, where more than 250 pieces created by students were showcased.

During the reception on May 10, 48 Art Honor Society inductees were announced. To receive that honor, students must maintain an art class GPA of 3.5 or higher and have a minimum of three elective art classes throughout their high school career. Inductees also must have been enrolled in an art class during the 2016-17 school year and demonstrate the Warrior Code. Freshmen Art Achievement Awards also were presented to 21 students.

The artwork in the show was judged, and below are several of the winners, with their pieces.
