Addison Trail hosts 50th anniversary alumni events for Boys Soccer and Football

On Sept. 2, the Addison Trail Football Team welcomed back former players, coaches and their family members.

Throughout the 2016-17 school year, Addison Trail will celebrate its 50th anniversary with events and activities to welcome back alumni and to continue to engage stakeholders.

The most recent 50th anniversary events were a Boys Soccer Alumni Celebration on Aug. 25 and a Football Alumni Celebration on Sept. 2. During those home games, alumni were announced to the crowd and had an opportunity to reconnect with fellow graduates and Addison Trail students, parents/guardians, community members and staff. About 14 alumni attended the Boys Soccer game, and about 16 alumni attended the Football game. All coaches of the varsity and junior varsity Boys Soccer teams are Addison Trail graduates, and three of those coaches are former players on the team.

The Blazers took on Fenton High School in soccer and won 3-0. In football, the Blazers competed against Oak Park and River Forest High School, with a score of 14-35.
