Willowbrook to present Orchesis Show

On May 1 and 2, Willowbrook will present its annual Orchesis Show.

The show will feature about 25 dance numbers that showcase a variety of styles such as hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, lyrical and tap. Every aspect of the show – from the choreography, to the costumes to the lighting – is run by the students,

This year’s theme is “Willowbrook: As Seen on TV,” and many of the performances will highlight music from well-known TV shows.

The Orchesis Dance Officers – juniors Maddie Schulte, Emily Isaacson and Veronica Catanese and sophomore Kiana Gleason – said the show is more thematic than previous years, and audience members can expect to be entertained by exciting routines and familiar songs. They also said a highlight of the event will be a number that showcases a Michael Jackson interpretation.
