Event to benefit Lauren Kiefer Memorial Foundation Inc.

Starting at 6 p.m. on April 30, the 9th annual event to benefit the Lauren Kiefer Memorial Foundation Inc. will take place at Rock Bottom Brewery, 94 Yorktown Shopping Center in Lombard.

There will be a cash-prize giveaway and raffle prizes, and participants will receive three free raffle tickets when they register for the LM5K Run/Walk. The 9th annual LM5K Run/Walk will take place on June 20 at Willowbrook to remember Willowbrook alumna Lauren Kiefer and to raise money for the Lauren Kiefer Memorial Foundation Inc. The foundation provides funds for local families and nonprofit groups, as well as scholarships for Willowbrook seniors.

Kiefer was a remarkable daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, friend and girlfriend. Aside from that, Kiefer was so many things – a Columbia College graduate, a smart business woman, a fitness queen, a fun-loving party animal, a Cubs fan, a lover of shoes and purses and a beautiful light in so many lives.
