Willowbrook hosts State sendoff celebration for DECA students

On March 12, Willowbrook hosted a State sendoff celebration for 24 students who will compete in the DECA State competition.

The event takes place from March 12 to 14 at the Decatur Conference Center and Hotel in Decatur.

DECA is a competitive club that prepares future leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, hospitality and business management. For more information about DECA, go to www.deca.org. 

The 24 students who qualified for State are junior Amos Cabudol, freshman Maria Luz Alcala, junior Sally Nijim, freshman Catherine Carey, senior Anthony Pauletti, senior Michael Roby II, junior Kyle Ezell, junior Jackson Bell, junior Matthew Langer, senior Asra Mubeen, senior Benish Siddiqui, senior Marie Crowe, junior Selina Zeiss, sophomore Anthony Clampit, sophomore Haley Warren, junior Zachary Boehm, junior Ian Patete, senior Tyler Rusnak, junior Julia Smith, junior Filjo Abraham, junior Henry Dahl, senior Joseph Draus, senior Giselle Carter and senior Farheen Fatima.
