Willowbrook students designated as Illinois State Scholars for 2015-16

On Dec. 2, the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) announced the Illinois State Scholars for 2015-16, and 57 Willowbrook students earned that honor.

According to the commission, the State Scholar program recognizes students for outstanding academic achievement, and students receive a certificate for their performance. State Scholars rank in about the top 10 percent of the state’s high school seniors, this year representing 671 high schools throughout Illinois. Selection is based on SAT, ACT or Prairie State Achievement Exam (PSAE) scores and class rank at the end of a student’s junior year.
