You’re invited to attend an evening of fun to benefit District 88 students

You’re invited to enjoy an evening of fun to benefit District 88 students!

From 4 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 1, Addison Trail will host an event called Kermes to raise money toward scholarships for students who are members of Addison Trail’s Interact Club.

Proceeds also will benefit District 88 students who will participate in a trip to Spain this spring. Students had to apply to participate in that trip and went through a rigorous selection process. Funds raised from Kermes will help defray the costs of travel for the students.

Kermes will embrace the Spanish culture and will feature food, live entertainment and children’s activities. Admission is free, and dinner tickets cost $5 each. Students also will be selling split-the-pot raffle tickets for $5 each or five for $20. If you would like to buy raffle tickets in advance, contact District 88 Assistant Superintendent Jean Barbanente at jbarbanente@dupage88.net or 630-530-3984. The event will take place in Addison Trail’s cafeteria at 213 N. Lombard Road in Addison.

Along with the Kermes event, students traveling to Spain are selling $10 Jet Brite Car Wash gift cards. More than 50 percent of the sale goes to the students, and the cards can be used like cash at any Jet Brite Car Wash, including the Addison and Villa Park locations. Tickets can be bought from any student participating in the Spain trip, or by contacting Barbanente.
