The Warrior Code

The Warrior Code:
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be Engaged

The PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) program was implemented in fall 2007 to teach students expected behaviors, rules and what it means to be a Warrior. The goal of the program is to develop a positive school climate through creating common language and standards.

The PBIS core team, composed of about 25 staff, is proud to be considered a model school for the implementation of the Warrior Code. Many high schools throughout Illinois have met with team members to discuss the steps Willowbrook High School has taken to sustain a positive school climate.

Area schools that have inquired about the implementation process include Glenbard High School District 87, Downers Grove High School District 99, Dundee Crown High School, Reavis High School, Rolling Meadows High School and Springfield High School. Presentations also were made to the entire staff of West Aurora High School and Quincy High School, as they explored PBIS implementation. In the summer of 2009, a Willowbrook team presented at the State of Illinois PBIS convention about how to implement PBIS at the high school level.
