PARCC symposium takes place at District 88

On May 2, a PARCC Symposium for High School Practitioners took place at Willowbrook.

More than 100 school administrators, board members, legislators and state officials from throughout Illinois attended the event to analyze and study various key aspects of the implementation of the 2015 Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) assessment.

The symposium focused on four key problematic aspects of the assessment, which are schedule demands, making sure students perform well on the ACT and the PARCC assessment, motivating students to want to perform well on the PARCC assessment and how the new assessment could impact course-based finals.
