Students in Addison Trail’s School to Work class visit Quality Fabricators Inc.

On May 10, five Addison Trail students participated in a career-exploration field trip to an engineering and manufacturing facility when they visited Quality Fabricators Inc. in Addison.

Those students are enrolled in Addison Trail’s School to Work class (taught by teacher Stacey Puccini), which provides pupils with real-world experiences through visiting local businesses and meeting with career professionals.

During their visit, students met with Quality Fabricators Inc. Vice President and Owner Mark Lovelace, who led them on a tour to see the assembly line of paint coating, product assembly/shipping and material handling.

Lovelace also discussed the various job opportunities with the company, including welding, customer service, estimating, production scheduling/purchasing and machining (specifically shearing, sawing, laser cutting, punch press, panel folding and bending).
