Keyboard Short Cuts

| Ctrl + A | Selects the entire document |
| Ctrl + 1 | Line spacing 1 (single spacing) |
| Ctrl + 2 | Lines spacing 2 (double spacing) |
| Ctrl + 5 | Line spacing 1.5 |
| Shift + F3 | Changes text case (goes to all caps, then small caps; then initial caps) |
| Ctrl + ] | Increases font size one point |
| Ctrl + [ | Decreases font size one point |
| Ctrl + home | Takes you to the beginning of your document |
| Ctrl + end | Takes you to the end of your document |
| Ctrl + Ô | Moves the insertion point one word to the right |
| Ctrl + ç | Moves the insertion point one word to the left |
| Home | Moves insertion point to the beginning of a line |
| End | Moves the insertion point to the end of a line |
| Ctrl + é | Moves the insertion point one paragraph up |
| Ctrl + ê | Moves the insertion point one paragraph down |
| Alt + Tab | Allows you to go between programs that are open on your screen |
| Ctrl + Q | Removes the formatting carries over from previous paragraphs |
| Ctrl + Shift + = | Allows you to type in superscript (must repeat to turn off when finished) |
| Ctrl + = | Allows you to type in subscript (must repeat to turn off when finished) |
| Shift + F5 | Finds the last 3 locations where you edited or keyed text |
| 3 or more hyphens; press Enter | A thin bottom border is applied to your text |
| 3 or more underscores; press Enter | A thick bottom border is applied to your text |
| 3 or more equal signs; press Enter | A double-line bottom border is applied to your text |
| Ctrl + backspace | Deletes a word to the left of the insertion point |
| Ctrl + delete | Deletes a word to the right of the insertion point |
| Non-breaking space | Remove space; then hold down the Ctrl + Shift + Spacebar |
| Ctrl + Shift + N | Restores text to default formatting |
| Alt + Shift + D | Inserts Date |
| Alt + Shift + T | Inserts Time |
| F6 | Switches panes when you split a document (windows; split) |
| Ctrl + Enter | Inserts a hard page break or a column break |
| F4 | Repeat command -- allows you to key text in a document that you want to repeat in other areas of the document (CAUTION: must do it immediately without other interruptions as it has a short term memory) |
