World Heritage Project for ESL/Reading II

"Heritage is our legacy from the past, what we live with today, and what we pass on to future generations. Our cultural and natural heritage are both irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration.  World Heritage sites belong to all the peoples of the world, irrespective of the territory on which they are located."  http://whc.unesco.org/en/about/

Students will determine whether a particular monument should stay on the list, you need to evaluate its historical and cultural significance.  To what extent does this monument reflect both the historical and the present-day culture of the part of the world where it is found?  To what extent is it important in other ways?  Ultimately, should it remain on the World Heritage list?
