Aquariums - Founded in 1924, the Association of Zoos and
Aquariums (AZA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the
advancement of accredited zoos and aquariums in the areas of
animal care, wildlife conservation, education and science.
Bird Life - Through this search you can look for information
on all birds of the world. You can find information on a
particular species or sets of species by specifying a number of
different search criteria.
Center for
Biodiversity - The United States Senate declared May 18,
2007, "Endangered Species Day." Find success stories in the
fight to protect endangered species, throughout the United
States and its territories, in this report. Learn about the
status of endangered species in your region, or in fourteen

Wildlife Foundation is to protect endangered species. Many of
these species are also umbrella species. This means that by
helping the endangered species, these species help other species
that live in the same habitat.

Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History - The main
source for information on this subject is the U.S. Fish and
Wildlife Service, Division of Endangered Species. You will find
an inventory of books and journal articles on endangered,
threatened, and extinct birds when you visit this site. You can
find the resources listed from most large public libraries or
they can be requested through interlibrary loan.

Environmental Program - Search specific countries throughout
the world for their animals.
U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency - The Endangered Species
Protection Program (ESPP) places geographically specific use
limitations on pesticides in order to protect endangered and
threatened species from pesticides. There will be a label
statement on the pesticides with limitations directing people to
the ESPP website,
where they can find Bulletins for their location. These
Bulletins will specify what restrictions apply. These
restrictions are fully enforceable, and are considered no
different from statements placed directly on the label. To find
