OPEN HOUSE 2023
We are so excited to welcome our Blazer families to the Addison Trail High School 2023-2024 school year as well as to our Open House Event on Thursday, August 31st, 2023.
Dear Blazer Parents:
You are cordially invited to our annual fall OPEN HOUSE at Addison Trail High School on Thursday, August 31st, 2023.
We will have two tours of our building beginning at 5:45 p.m. Each tour will last 30 minutes and is optional.
Tour A will be at 5:45 p.m.
Tour B will be at 6:00 p.m.
For PowerSchool access to check your student’s grades online, please refer to the instructions included in the mailing sent home.
The Open House program will officially begin at 6:30 p.m. and will follow the schedule below:

6:30-6:55 p.m. Parent Meeting in the Main Gym
0 7:00-7:10 p.m.
1 7:15-7:25 p.m.
2 7:30-7:40 p.m.
3 7:45-7:55 p.m.
AT RESOURCE There will be no AT Resource class during the Open House program
4 8:00-8:10 p.m.
5 8:15-8:25 p.m.
6 8:30-8:40 p.m.
7 8:45-8:55 p.m.
8 9:00-9:10 p.m.
Attached to your mailing will be a copy of your student’s schedule. Please verify this schedule with your student to ensure no changes have been made. You may also log on to Power School to view your student’s schedule. Please bring this with you to Open House so you know which classes to visit during the time frame listed above.
Students will be dismissed at 1:40 PM on Thursday, August 31st.
The first wave of buses in the morning will remain at the usual time.
The afternoon bus run will be after 8th hour of the 1:40 PM dismissal time.
The late bus runs will be at 3:45 PM and 4:15 PM. No other buses will be available after 4:15 PM. All athletic practices and club meetings will conclude before 4:15 PM.
Childcare will be provided in the Blazer Room.
During an open period in your student’s schedule, you may visit one of the following areas:
"Top 5 tips for Success at Addison Trail", presented by the Counseling Department – in the Guidance Office.
Dean’s Office – north end of the Commons - meet the deans and learn about our safety and security efforts at Addison Trail
Booster Clubs – Commons
If your student has an ASC in his/her schedule, please go to room 210 during that period.
These discussions will be an open forum for you to ask any questions, so please feel free to come and go.
Our Open House format is designed to enhance communication with parents and we encourage you to be with us on August 31st. Please keep in mind that Open House is not an appropriate setting for individual conferences regarding student progress. Parents who desire a personal conference should arrange for one at a later date.

MEET OUR DEANS!
During a lunch period in your student's schedule you may visit with our Deans to learn about our safety and security efforts at ATHS just outside the Dean's office.
During a remote period in your student's schedule you may visit with our Student Services Department for information on IEPs
ASC
During your child's ASC period in their schedule you may visit with our ASC Dept. Chair to learn more about our Addison Support Center.Need assistance or have general questions about upcoming events?
